Our Story

Chaak Design began during the quiet days of COVID-19, when our founder — a trained Lifestyle Designer from NIFT — visited a small artisan village in Kakori, near Lucknow.

The journey first started with Chikankari embroidery, one of Lucknow’s most delicate and timeless crafts. Working closely with artisans, our founder realized that design education and creativity could open new doors for traditional crafts. What began as experiments in embroidery soon grew into a larger vision — to bring India’s handcrafted heritage into modern homes.

Combining design knowledge from NIFT with the artistry of local craftsmen, Chaak Design expanded into marble, copper, brass, and ceramic handicrafts. From our first hand-drawn sketches to the early prototypes made during lockdown, each piece carried both tradition and design innovation.

Our first collections — marble coasters, copper spice boxes, and hand-painted ceramics — were made in small batches, sold online, and slowly gained trust. With time, bulk orders, festive hampers, and even corporate gifting collaborations started coming in.

Today, Chaak Design is proud to stand as a bridge between artisan heritage and contemporary lifestyle design. What began in Kakori with Chikankari has grown into a pan-India brand, shipping handcrafted elegance through Amazon, Myntra, and our own store — while empowering artisans to thrive in a global marketplace.
